I am a resident of Bicester, having previously lived in Blackthorn, where I continue to serve as a Parish Councillor. I have been a member of the Parish Council for over five years and have a strong commitment to representing local residents and supporting our communities.
I am a mum to two boys and a proud grandmother. Professionally, I work in Human Resources for a local business, where I help support people development.
Why I’m involved
I joined Wrong Plan Wrong Site because I believe the use of an urgent Crown Development Order for this proposal is fundamentally wrong and that Site A is wholly unsuitable for its intended purpose. The campaign provided an opportunity to build an evidence-based case to challenge the proposal and ensure that local concerns were properly considered.
As our work progressed, it became clear that we needed the appropriate legal structure in place to support any future challenge. Following a model similar to that adopted by the Crowborough campaign, we established a Community Interest Company. I am one of the company directors and serve as the appointed Treasurer.
My belief
“Communities deserve a fair and transparent decision-making process. Important decisions should be based on evidence, proper scrutiny and meaningful engagement with the people who will be most affected by them.”
