I am new to the area but have enjoyed settling in with my family. I now know most of my neighbours and love the strong sense of community that is built around the village, dog walking and lending a helping hand.
I am semi-retired now, but have been a small business owner for much of my working life, as well as teaching and lecturing in the wellbeing educational space.
Why I’m involved
I joined Wrong Plan Wrong Site because this proposal does not in any way take into account the suitability of the site as fit for purpose, or the consider the impact it will have on the surrounding communities. Any development of this size and scale needs to be most carefully considered and planned, in consultation with the people it will affect the most.
My belief
“This is the wrong plan and the wrong site for so many reasons and on so many levels, for everyone. The government should be held fully accountable for any decision that fundamentally impacts the safety, freedoms and social cohesion of all communities. I hope the ministers come to the only correct decision and withdraw their bid to make Site A an asylum site.”
