Our people:

Deb

Deputy Chair (Acting) and Comms

I am new to the area but have enjoyed settling in with my family. I now know most of my neighbours and love the strong sense of community that is built around the village, dog walking and lending a helping hand.

I am semi-retired now, but have been a small business owner for much of my working life, as well as teaching and lecturing in the wellbeing educational space.

Why I’m involved

I joined Wrong Plan Wrong Site because this proposal does not in any way take into account the suitability of the site as fit for purpose, or the consider the impact it will have on the surrounding communities. I am especially worried about the safety and freedoms of women and girls. Any development of this size and scale needs to be most carefully considered and planned, in consultation with the people it will affect the most.

My belief

“It seems to me that the government has forgotten whom it is meant to represent! It should be held fully accountable for any decision that would fundamentally impact the safety, freedoms and social cohesion of its people.”
