The formal representation period for the proposed asylum accommodation at MOD Bicester Site A is now open – and residents have only until 17 September 2026 to submit an objection.
This is an important moment for the campaign.
The Government’s application proposes accommodation for up to 1,256 people at Site A, and the documents submitted in support of the scheme raise a number of significant questions around issues including transport, flooding and drainage, ground conditions, infrastructure, ecology and the overall suitability of the site.
The representation period gives members of the public an opportunity to put their concerns formally on the record before the application is determined.
Why does objecting matter?
Every individual, evidence-based objection helps demonstrate the strength and breadth of concern surrounding the proposal.
Representations that raise relevant planning considerations can be taken into account by the Secretary of State when deciding the application. This means it is important that as many people as possible take the time to respond — and that objections focus on the planning evidence and issues surrounding the site.
The window is extremely short, so we strongly encourage residents not to leave their objection until the final day.
