Hundreds of people gathered in Bicester at the weekend to protest against the Government’s proposal to use MOD Bicester Site A as accommodation for around 1,250 asylum seekers.

Hundreds of people gathered in Bicester on Saturday to protest against the Government’s proposal to establish a large asylum accommodation centre at MOD Bicester Site A.

The demonstration brought together local residents and supporters from across the political spectrum, reflecting the breadth of concern surrounding the proposed development.

Those attending raised concerns about the scale and location of the proposed centre, the lack of meaningful consultation, pressure on local services and infrastructure, and the Government’s decision to pursue the proposal through an Urgent Crown Development process.

Wrong Plan. Wrong Site. will continue to support constructive, peaceful action and work to ensure that the voice of Bicester and the surrounding communities is heard.
