Calum Miller MP has visited MOD Bicester Site A to give residents a further update on the proposed asylum accommodation centre.
In the video, Calum speaks from the site and draws attention to some of the practical concerns that have been raised about the proposal, including the location of Site A and the challenges associated with using a large, isolated former military site for long-term accommodation.
The visit helps show why local residents are asking for much more information before any decision is made. A proposal of this scale must be supported by clear evidence covering transport, pedestrian safety, infrastructure, public services, site condition, cost and the arrangements for meaningful consultation.
Calum has been raising the proposal in Parliament, submitting Written Parliamentary Questions and pressing ministers for greater transparency about the use of the Urgent Crown Development process.
Wrong Plan. Wrong Site. welcomes continued scrutiny of the proposal and the efforts being made to ensure that local concerns are heard.
